Badminton 101

Hello everyone, today the discussion will focus more on how to play a certain sport, this certain sport happens to be badminton. This game may seem a little unimportant but it is actually a very big deal in the country of India. The country of India has 6 teams that compete in the Premier Badminton League. Now here comes the important part, how to play badminton. The first step someone should do is knowing the equipment and rules. The object being hit back and forth between teams is called the Shuttlecock. The racquet  in badminton is similar to one from tennis except it has a smaller head with less square inches. The shaft is much thinner and longer for a much easier reach into the air. Step two will be knowing the rules. The server is determined by something simple like a flip of a coin or rock-paper-scissors. The first server can only score one point at first. If the shuttlecock rests on the opponents side then the opponent wins the next serve. If the shuttlecock lands on the opponents side or is hit twice on one side then the point automatically goes to the opposite side. Most games of badminton are played in games of fifteen. The games are played in three, and best two out of three wins the match. The winner of each game has to win by two or more points. Teams can be made of many people or the most common number of people on a team are only one or two. Therefore the games are called either singles or doubles. The main point of the game is to hit the colored ball on the top of the shuttlecock as it approaches the ground. The gravity will force the rubber ball to point downward so it may take some practice to get good at. Badminton is not an easy sport as it takes a lot of practice and very few steps to perfect.
